How payments work on Tewam Hire
See how Tewam Hire keeps payments safe for both sides: employers pay up front, money is held during the job and released when the work is approved.
Trust is the hardest part of working with someone new online. Employers worry about paying for work they never receive. Freelancers worry about delivering work and never being paid. Tewam Hire's payment flow is designed to remove both worries.
Step 1: The employer pays when hiring
When an employer chooses a freelancer, they pay for the job straight away. Depending on the job, they can pay the full amount up front, or start with a deposit where that option is available. Either way, the freelancer starts work knowing the money is already secured.
Step 2: The money is held during the job
The payment is not handed to the freelancer immediately. It is held safely by Tewam Hire while the work is in progress. Both sides can chat, share files and track progress on the job page in the meantime.
Step 3: The freelancer delivers
When the work is ready, the freelancer uploads the final files to the job. The employer reviews them in one place, with the full conversation and history alongside.
Step 4: The employer approves and the payment is released
Once the employer approves the delivery, the job is marked complete and the payment is released to the freelancer's earnings. A platform fee is deducted from job payments, and freelancers can see the details in their account.
Step 5: The freelancer withdraws
Freelancers add a payout method in their account and request a withdrawal from their earnings balance whenever they are ready.
What if something goes wrong?
Most jobs go smoothly. If they do not, either side can open a dispute from the job page and share messages, files and evidence. Our team reviews the case and helps reach a fair outcome. Depending on the result, the held money can be released to the freelancer, returned, or split between both sides.
Why it works
- Employers only release payment for work they have approved.
- Freelancers know the money is there before they start.
- Both sides have a fair route to resolve problems.
